Colorado offers the incredible beauty of the Rocky Mountains, wide open plains and an exciting cosmopolitan energy in our capital city, Denver. Your experience at Adam’s Camp, Colorado is likely to include whitewater rafting, hiking and campfires. Adam’s Camp, Colorado, established in 1986, offers Intensive Therapy Camps as well as Adventure Camps.
Adam’s Camp Intensive Therapy Camps serve the entire family, offering intensive, developmental therapies for the child with special needs while also recognizing that parents and siblings have an important role as well. These programs are ideal for families with a child that is working towards developmental milestones, with siblings wanting a camp experience of their own, and who want respite in a relaxed setting, allowing for quality time with one another and as a family. Programs range from our Denver-based Early Start for the youngest campers through our mountain therapy camps for those ages 5 and older.
Adventure Camp is for youth and young adults with adventurous spirits, who want to be challenged with exciting activities, build friendships and gain confidence! Adventure Camp is primarily designed for those with mild to moderate special needs, primarily in association with autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy and Down syndrome. We offer six sessions of five day/nights each at Snow Mountain Ranch annually, five in the summer and one in the winter. Additionally, Adventure Campers may enjoy reconnecting with their friends at any of the shorter weekend sessions offered throughout the year. While families don’t attend Adventure Camp, many greatly appreciate the respite they experience while their loved ones are away at camp, having the time of their lives. The numbers don’t lie: 73% of our campers return every year!
